What Marvel Means To Me panel discussion At San Diego Comic-Con

This July, while our latest exhibition ‘MARVEL: UNIVERSE OF SUPER HEROES’ is on display at Seattle’s Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP), the exhibition’s head curator Professor Benjamin Saunders and media coordinator Patrick A. Reed will be appearing at Comic-Con International in San Diego to present a special program.

What Marvel Means To Me, presented at 10:30am on Thursday, July 19th, will feature a group (including renowned creators Sina Grace and Ann Nocenti) in conversation on the influences and inspirations of the Marvel Universe, the lasting appeal of the company’s characters in different media, and the people who bring it all to life.

Or, as the listing in Comic-Con’s guide states:

“The name Marvel immediately brings to mind eye-popping visuals and superhero slugfests, but beneath the widescreen trappings and cosmic adventure, there's an innate humanity that resonates with audiences and a legacy of storytellers who bring this universe to life. Here, co-moderators Professor Ben Saunders (Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes exhibit at MoPop) and Patrick A. Reed (Depth of Field) speak with an all-star group of panelists about the stories, characters, and people that make Marvel so enduring.”
